The Top 50 Do Not Play Songs from Mystical Entertainment Group

Ever search endlessly on Google and the things that you are searching for just don’t pertain to you? It’s like searching what the average wedding costs and you get some ridiculous number like $35,000 and you’re like yeah right that’s not even close. The reason being is that Google loves to rank the big websites like the Knot and you get a bunch of irrelevant data that literally doesn’t make sense at all. We at Mystical Entertainment Group pride ourselves in being the leaders here in the Tri-State area and we also just so happen to love technology. (I mean that’s what makes us the best wedding djs in NJ after all) We feel like analyzing all the data points from our amazing clients will help our future clients plan the best event imaginable. All of this data also helps you understand pretty much what we rarely play as well. (Unless otherwise requested)

Cha cha slide, electric shuffle, electric slide top the list of DO NOT PLAY

We have a theory on these types of participation dances. Back in the day when DJs had to flip through records or CDs to find the next tracks they wanted to mix in, DJs didn’t have the ability to make changes on the fly. If you start to see a weak two step and some people leaving the dance floor, you’d have to quickly find the CD, cue it up, and then try to mix it in in time. We didn’t have the luxury of getting super creative with remixing on the fly or layering bass lines to make the songs more “wedding-friendly” This being said, a lot of these songs below were used as tools to either keep people on the floor longer or to just get them up and going. Today, people know a good DJ when they hear one and really know music.

Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube make the average Joe, a musical genius

With the emergence of all these apps, people can really hone in on the music they want to listen to. We all know the radio plays the same 10 songs, 100 times a day and it get’s really really annoying. For that reason, tons of the overplayed songs make their way to this list because the radio makes you hate them.

Without further ado, we bring to you, our very own curated list with advanced analytics from over 500 events in 2021. We’ve aggregated and tallied up the top do not play songs from our amazing clients and present it to you below. If you need help with other curated lists, we create amazing lists to make your life easy!! Check out our list of top ceremony songs after you read this one!! Enjoy!!
